“Quantity produces quality. If you only write a few things, you’re doomed.
Sometimes, you just stumble upon a book because you’re supposed to read it.
About a week ago, I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Maryanne Shiozawa, who just started a new podcast called, You’re Doing Great Mom.
Just as writers have their own process, so do mothers.
Something really fascinating has been happening since I started talking about writing a book. Turns out that people? They all have an idea for a book.
Like, every single person.
So. Here we are.
People say a lot of things, write a lot of things and publish a lot of things about following their dreams, or dreams coming true, and today, I have my own twist:
My fucking dreams came true.
I’m going to be the next big thing.
That’s what we all tell ourselves, as we create our social media accounts, as we define our blogs, as we emulate what everyone else is doing, has done or will do.
Can you keep a secret?
I really have no clue what I’m doing with my life.
I said it. It’s out.
I used to know. (I think.
Do you remember being asked: “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
I remember spouting off answers as a child: a veterinarian! An astronaut! A librarian! It never dawned on me to really think about this question
We all want it. It’s the Holy Grail for parents, career mavens and single people everywhere.
